Babelsberger FILMUNIversum: Films 2021

Impressive, short documentaries from Germany's oldest and largest film school

The initiative "Babelsberger FILMUNIversum" by the Filmuniversität Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF and the rbb presents a selection of documentary short films every year in which students tell about their view of things and the world. The films 2021: "Firefighters" looks into the lives of two women in the supposedly male domain of the firefighting profession. The film "Pack" tells of icy temperatures, untouched nature and life with 30 Alaskan huskies. The topic of organ trafficking is the focus of the film "The Void Insight". "So Quiet So Loud" relates small family moments after a serious cancer diagnosis. How residential buildings can transform into organisms and a coral reef of steel and concrete is shown in the film "Pallasseum - Invisible City". How do you translate people's perceptions into images? The film "Nacht Ueber Kepler 452b" makes this attempt and delves into the world of thoughts of people who live on the street.
